BOW THEME PRINCESS BIRTHDAY PARTY
We have been dressing Emilia since her first birthday party and enjoy nothing more than being part of her special moments. Her darling mum, Shannon, who is quite the expert celebration planner, once again took our breath away.

How did you decide on the theme and can you present it?
Emilia had been dreaming of a tea party and her 5th birthday was the perfect occasion for it. Since she is also Disney Princess obsessed, we incorporated it in our theme and decided on a “Royal Tea Party”. As soon as I saw the Charlotte sy Dimby bow & tulle dress, I knew it was meant to be!
Did you keep the party a secret or did you organise it hand in hand with your princess?
I thoroughly enjoy the planning process and love to include Emilia. We discussed details and ideas together. The only thing I kept secret, was the three princesses attending. She had requested Cinderella (her absolute favorite) but Belle & Ariel were the happiest surprise for her.
You are wonderful at organising children's parties. Can you give us some of your planning tips?
Those who know me know that I am a planner to say the least. I am so very detail oriented. I feel that in order to execute your vision, you need to do so with plenty of time. I would recommend anticipating as much as you can. It's never too early to begin planning.
I like to look for lots of inspo photos online too and brainstorm ideas with friends which is very helpful.
I also always work closely with the venue staff on all of the details such as table setting, backdrop and florals. My number one tip would be to be very specific with the vendors and give precise instructions. Send lots of inspo photos and stay in close communication with everyone involved! Oh and absolutely hire a photographer!!!
How many guests did you have ?
This year we did an all girls party which was so much fun. We had 12 of her closest girlfriends, their moms, Emilia’s grandparents and a few of her favorite teachers. It was intimate and perfect!
How long did the party last ?
The party was about three hours long. When the girls arrived they got to mingle and have tea time and lunch. Then the Disney princesses arrived. We had planned a one hour customized itinerary which was the highlight of the afternoon for sure.
Can you show us the invitation ?
Where did you host the event?
The event was as at a local tea party venue in Miami called Lolita Dessert Club. I was lucky enough to have a wonderful coordinator to help execute all of my ideas regarding decor, food and table setting.
Can you talk more about the party decor?
The tables were set as for a traditional tea party. I added little crowns at each place setting for the girls. After all, it was a “royal” tea party!
I wanted to incorporate bows into the decor to match the dress, so we added bow shaped balloons in the arch on the backdrop. Fresh flowers were the nicest touch on all of the tables. And of course, lots of pink and darling details!
Can you describe Emilia’s party outfit from head to toe ?
Emilia wore Charlotte sy Dimby for her fifth consecutive birthday. This year's design was a white dress with sheer pink skirt. The chest was ornated with precious bows and delicate pearls. We even had her initial embroidered on it.
Her classic shoes were by L’Amour. In her hair she had an elegant pink satin bow from Wee Ones. She also proudly wore a tiara given to her by Cinderella.
What type of games did you organise for the children?
I adore Happy Princess Club because they completely customize the entertainment itinerary based on the child’s preferences and theme. The girls had a tea party etiquette lesson, they did a sing-a-longs to their favorite Disney princess songs, a freeze dance and a story time to name a few. They were completely mesmerized the entire time!
What food and refreshments did you serve?
The girls had pink lemonade served in tea pots and the moms had sparkling rosé. Everything pink!
For food we enjoyed avocado toasts, salads, cheese boards and hummus platters. As well as peanut butter & jelly croissants, chicken tenders and potato rounds for the children.
Our custom made cake was from Bake Bar, as always. And the venue is also known for their delicious treats & desserts.
What party favors did you have for the guests ?
I put together the most darling assortment of princess hair bows, bracelets with teapot charms and macaron jewelry boxes with rings inside. The party favors were housed inside little tea pots. My sweet friend Maria printed all of my thank you tags, as well as the welcome sign which matched the invitations.
What was your favourite moment of the party ?
My favorite moment was seeing Emilia’s face when the princesses arrived. It was pure magic! I loved seeing her so happy amongst her friends and family. It was such a special day. Thanks to the beautiful photos taken by Jenna Eiseman Martinovic the memories will remain forever.
