A PINK AND GREY BOW TALE
What is their knot to love about bows?
Braiding of two interweaved part of a ribbon, ubiquitous symbol of feminity, representing love and unity, used to hold or adorn, present since the dawn of time (Sumerian gold hair ribbons date back to 2600-2500 BC), bows hold a place of honor in the world fashion. Loved by mums and little girls alike, they are forever present in our collections.
We are thus thrilled to present a new bow dress designed in collaboration with Sierra Hayden. Named after her two daughters, the Alysia and Audrina dress is a pink and grey version of our lavender blue Princess Charlotte dress re-edited with a bow theme. A timeless classic just like the blue one but with a feminine, girly, romantic feel.
About the dress design :
The bodice is hand smocked with delicate grey bows upon a diamond shape pattern. The Peter Pan collar and sleeve cuffs are adorned with an embroidered bow trim replicating that of the smocks. And of course, a butterfly bow sash in the back is the ultimate finishing touch.
How to style the dress :
To create a full look, Sierra has curated a selection of matching hair bows and shoes. Perfect accessories to coordinate with the dress.

The story and inspiration behind the dress :
We owe this design idea to Sierra whom we fondly nickname the 'Bow Eye' as she has a special passion for it under all its forms and shapes. She is always the first to spot new trends and exquisite bow findings.
Our initial encounter actually began with a bow discussion. Having spotted a dress with bows worn by Elle Hertz, daughter of Emily Hertz, founder of Born on Fifth and Bows & Blue (whose logo happens to be a bow), she asked more details. A tradition of dressing her princesses in matching dresses which always included a bow thus began. Season after season, the collection of the girls keeps growing!
Below you will find some of the prettiest designs created over the years as well as a little more about Sierra herself.
Which is your favourite Charlotte sy Dimby dress?
Sierra : The current Alysia & Audrina dress is my most favorite at this time, but each dress the girls have is special in its own way. The smocking of the current Alysia & Audrina dress is exactly how I envisioned it. The bow detail is one of a kind. It’s a very special dress! I love bows!
Can you share about another of your passions?
Sierra : Roses are everything & more. I specifically only grow David Austin roses preferably pink. I enjoy smelling each scent. I love capturing the beauty of each bloom in photographs. I treat my roses as if they are my other children. I hope the girls learn to love rose gardening like I do.

What is the next piece of clothes or item you are eyeing for the girls?
Always a Charlotte sy Dimby dress! Thinking of a blue version of the Alysia & Audrina one. We did a blue one a couple of years ago for a birthday! With matching doll outfits of course!
What’s on my 2024 dream list?
I am dreaming of taking pictures of the girls amongst the roses in the garden. I am dreaming of roses on hats. I am hoping for a beautiful pink rose garden this year!
Also, I will be redoing the girls room from top to bottom very soon. I will be adding bow floral crown moulding along with floral cane beds. I aiming for a French look with gold accessories to highlight the painting of Alysia by Shari Ford Portraits.
